late bloomer | a north east ohio backyard

an image from the seedling mattress. a blurry one at that. taken with my regular cellphone hand. it has been a curious and curioser summer time. most seedlings are inclined to bloom sooner than the established crops. not this one. nearly the whole lot is completed blooming daylily smart. there are about 5 different daylilies blooming. and they’re on their final blooms. and i assume this seedling is on its first and final bloom. there are not any different blooms on that scape. evidently this bloom is a shock. a contented one at that. the cross is Oatmeal Cream x Stella’s Ruffled Fingers. this bloom might end opening tomorrow. or i could have to attend till subsequent summer time to see one other. each of its dad and mom rebloom. so there’s a good probability this seedling would possibly do the identical as soon as it matures. first a picture of the seedling after which the 2 dad and mom…
