Grant purposes open in Michigan

2025 Horticulture Fund

Michigan Division of Agriculture and Rural Growth (MDARD) Director Tim Boring introduced MDARD is accepting grant proposals for the 2025 Horticulture Fund, an initiative designed to assist Michigan’s nursery and decorative horticulture companies. With a most grant award of $20,000, this funding gives a possibility for innovation throughout the trade. Proposals should be submitted by Friday, November 22, 2024.

All college and employees members of universities and schools in Michigan are eligible to obtain funding, in addition to groups of college/faculty investigators and personal people. College or faculty personnel should be the Principal Investigator of the proposal.

Eligible initiatives for grant consideration may be new initiatives or ongoing efforts, however all proposals should fall underneath one in every of three funding classes:

  • Utilized Analysis: Crop administration programs that improve trade profitability whereas being environmentally and socially accountable and supply long-term advantages to Michigan’s nursery and decorative horticulture trade.
